Welcome to ��ɫ��Ƭ Centre for Soft Matter

Soft matter is all around us (not to mention inside us) so it is unsurprising that members of the ��ɫ��Ƭ Centre for Soft Matter pursue research that covers a wide range of disciplines across the whole Faculty of Science.

Topics we address range from the biophysics of membranes to the concept of ‘softness’ in the context of volcanic magma; and from theoretical modelling of how polymers flow to organic electronics. Our work delivers tangible value to industries and, as importantly, intangible benefits from the collaborative and interdisciplinary environment to which our postgraduate students are exposed.
